Timothy “Redd” Littlepage is a student in The Last Mile program at the Indiana Department of Correction, where he is preparing for a fresh start after nearly three years of incarceration. Before his time in prison, Red struggled with addiction, a battle that led him down a destructive path, straining relationships and ultimately resulting in his incarceration. Now, as he nears his release, he is focused on rebuilding his life with a strong foundation in faith, personal growth, and career aspirations in audio and video production. Through The Last Mile, he has found both a support system and the tools necessary to reintegrate into society successfully.
“Success isn’t about money or status—it’s about being reliable, showing up, and doing the right thing even when no one’s watching. That’s the kind of person I want to be. I used to think success meant having the most money, the best job, or the most people looking up to you. But I’ve come to realize that real success is about being the kind of person others can depend on. I want to be the man who follows through, who shows up when he says he will, and who does the right thing not for recognition, but because it’s who he is. That’s what I’m striving for now—to be a father my daughter can trust, a friend people can count on, and a man who stands by his word.”
In this interview, Red opens up about the struggles of addiction, the emotional weight of being separated from his daughter, and the personal transformation he has undergone while incarcerated. He reflects on how faith and self-discipline have helped him break free from destructive cycles, allowing him to focus on personal accountability and positive change. He discusses the importance of structure and routine in maintaining sobriety, as well as his deep anxieties about life after release—particularly navigating parole, financial obligations, and rebuilding family relationships. His aspirations to work in audio and video production, along with his vision for a conspiracy-themed podcast called The Redd Alert, showcase his drive to create a meaningful future for himself. Make sure to tune into the audio version of The Last Mile Radio’s episode, where we give a Part 2 update and interview on Redd since being released from prison with some exciting news around reaching his goals post release!
